A house's dark history comes back to haunt the living in this horror/thriller starring Val Kilmer. After their car is involved in an accident in a remote area, a group of travellers accept the offer of shelter from Jack (Ving Rhames) whose house is nearby. However, after carrying their injured companion Bill (Kilmer) to the house, the group realise they are stranded due to a heavy storm and an electricity blackout. With their host acting increasingly strange, they attempt to make the most of the situation and try to settle down for the night. But events take an eerie twist when, one by one, each member of the group falls victim to a brutal slaying by a ghostly apparition intent on renacting the events of 100 years ago.
