Italian horror co-written and directed by Lucio Fulci. When Canadian archaeologist Paul Evans (Brett Halsey) travels to a medieval Sicilian monastery with his team, his apprentice Liza (Meg Register) unwittingly disturbs the spirits of three nuns who were tortured and killed five centuries ago for the crime of practicing witchcraft. As the vengeful spirits begin tormenting members of the archaeological expedition as well as inhabitants of the nearby town, the body count rises and so the locals resort to drastic measures to stop the murders. The cast also includes Lino Salemme and Al Cliver.
