Michael Douglas and Demi Moore star in this thriller based on the novel by Michael Crichton. Manager Tom Sanders (Douglas) misses out on promotion to a new face in his computer company - the power-dressing go-getter Meredith Johnson (Moore). Coincidentally an ex-lover of Tom, who is now happily married, Meredith attempts to revive old passions, but when her advances are spurned she promises to take revenge and the next morning Tom is accused of sexually harassing her. With pressure from his bosses to save the company from scandal, Tom decides to fight the allegations in court but Meredith refuses to be easily brushed aside and seems determined to ruin his life, starting with his career.
