Description

Gabriel Byrne, Julian Sands and Natasha Richardson star in this psychological horror directed by Ken Russell. In 1816, Lord Byron (Byrne) invites Claire Clairmont (Myriam Cyr), Mary Godwin (Richardson) and Percy Shelley (Sands) to join him and his friend and physician John Polidori (Timothy Spall) at his Swiss villa. As a storm rages outside, the group conduct a séance and experience a night of horror unlike anything they have ever known before, the legacy of which is Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein' and Polidori's 'The Vampyre'.
