Rose Byrne, Ethan Hawke and Chris O'Dowd star in this US comedy based on Nick Hornby's novel. Fearing her relationship with film studies teacher Duncan (O'Dowd) is going nowhere, Annie (Byrne) becomes increasingly frustrated with Duncan's obsession with 1990s cult rocker Tucker Crowe (Hawke) and his insistence on continually updating his fan site dedicated to the former star. When a rare recording of Tucker's most famous album is sent to Duncan, Annie writes a scathing review on Duncan's website, only for Tucker himself to respond and ask to get to know Annie a little better. After forming a bond through a series of e-mails the pair eventually meet when Tucker comes to London and an unlikely romance begins to blossom.
