The past catches up with an innocent couple as they find themselves hunted by mob hitmen, in this action thriller directed by John Madden. After she inadvertantly comes face-to-face with mafia hitman 'Blackbird' (Mickey Rourke) while he's carrying out a job, Carmen Colson (Diane Lane) is asked to testify against the gunman by the FBI. As a result, both she and her husband Wayne (Thomas Jane) are placed in the Witness Protection Programme and given new identities. Hoping to start a new life together, the couple soon discover they have nowhere to run, however, when they find themselves targeted by the ageing hitman and his psychopathic partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt).
