Documentary examining the origins and legacy of Nirvana's 1991 album 'Nevermind'. Emerging from a small independent scene in Seattle, no one could have predicted the almost overnight success of Nirvana on the back of 'Nevermind' and its lead single, 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'. The band seemed ill-prepared for the success in many ways and, ultimately, the suicide of singer and songwriter Kurt Cobain in 1994 may be attributable to the band's sudden explosion in popularity.
