Episodes 1-12 of the Japanese anime based on the manga by Tsugumi Ohba. Mirai Kakehashi (voice of Miyu Irino) tries to commit suicide but is saved by Nasse (Yui Ogura), an angel who grants him powers. When Nasse informs him that God is going to retire in 999 days and 13 potential candidates to replace him have been chosen, including Mirai, he is shocked. Worse is yet to come, however, as some of the candidates will resort to violence and murder in order to win.
