Peter Ustinov writes and directs this wartime drama following the British scientists who developed the first radar system. Led by Professor Heatherville (Ralph Richardson), five research scientists are required to work in total secrecy to develop the vital navigational tool. As war breaks out across Europe the scientists are moved and housed together to accelerate the key breakthrough required to begin mass development of the pioneering system.
