Description

John Hannah and Conleth Hill star in this British drama written, produced and directed by James Erskine. During the 1985 riots on the streets of Belfast, nine-year-old Tommy (Art Parkinson) has only one thing on his mind: next year's World Cup. Ignoring the mayhem around him Tommy concentrates on his nation's forthcoming match against the mighty Brazil. As unconventional Northern Ireland coach Billy Bingham (Hannah) gathers together a team for the match, the famous David and Goliath story is told through the eyes of the players, the fans and the media.
