Description

Burt Lancaster stars in this film noir classic directed by Robert Siodmak. When Steve Thompson (Lancaster) begins an affair with ex-girlfriend Anna (Yvonne De Carlo), he becomes involved in a bitter conflict with Anna's new partner, local gangster Slim Dundee (Dan Duryea). In order to appease Slim, Steve offers to be the inside man for an armoured car job. However, despite agreeing to go along with the plan neither man trusts the other, and as they carry out the job even Anna's true feelings come under suspicion.
