Collection of seven supernatural horrors. In 'Paranormal Activity' (2007) Katie (Katie Featherston) and husband Micah (Micah Sloat) begin to hear strange noises and witness odd occurrences after moving into their new home in San Diego. Believing that she's been followed by ghosts since she was a child, Katie is convinced that malevolent spirits have followed her to her new home. Receiving no help from a local psychic, Micah decides to try and get proof of the ghostly presence by installing a bank of cameras to record any manifestations. Now, as the couple try to make contact with the spirits with the aid of a Ouija board, their unwelcome guests decide to make their presence felt. In 'Paranormal Activity 2' (2010) Katie and Micah move into a new house in the suburbs of San Diego where Katie worries that a ghostly presence that has haunted her since her youth has followed her to their new home. She hires paranormal experts to help her, but Micah decides to take matters into his own hands and attempts to capture any supernatural phenomena on camera. However, his involvement only serves to taunt the demons that haunt Katie, and before long the situation has escalated into a horrific nightmare from which no one can save them. 'Paranormal Activity 3' (2011), a prequel to the first two films, goes back to Katie's childhood in the late 1980s. Katie (Chloe Csengery) and her sister, Kristi (Sprague Grayden), still living with their parents in the family home, make their first contact with the spirit, Bloody Mary. Mary, who so mercilessly haunted the adult Katie in the first two films, is at first a friendly, if strange, presence. However, as time goes on, her unseen presence begins to torment the two girls. In 'Paranormal Activity 4' (2012) Alice (Kathryn Newton) and her mother were fine until their new neighbours moved in, but creepy little kid next door Robbie (Brady Allen) and his auntie Katie (Featherston) have brought more than just their belongings to the street. It seems that the demonic presence which has tormented them for years has followed them and is keen on getting to know the neighbours. 'Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones' (2014) follows young Latin American Jessie (Andrew Jacobs), who begins experiencing a number of disturbing and unexplainable things after the death of his neighbour. Quick to investigate, it isn't long before Jessie finds he's been marked for possession by a malevolent demonic entity, and it's only a matter of time before he is completely under its control... 'Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension' (2015) follows married couple Ryan (Chris J. Murray) and Emily (Brit Shaw) as they move into their new home in California with their daughter Leila (Ivy George). While emptying the house, Ryan stumbles across some old videotapes that have footage of the house's previous occupants being taught supernatural abilities by an older woman. It then becomes clear that the girl depicted on the tape has some kind of link to the present day and Ryan's family in particular and very quickly the house becomes a hive of spooky goings-on... 'Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin' (2021) follows Margot (Emily Bader) as she sets out to find out more about her family history, with her friend Chris (Roland Buck III) filming proceedings for a documentary. Margot's search leads the pair to an Amish community in rural New York, but when they arrive, they unearth some disturbing discoveries. Finally, the documentary 'Unknown Dimension - The Story of Paranormal Activity' (2021) chronicles the making of all seven films in the franchise.
