Description
Michael Curtiz directs this American 1940s drama starring Humphrey Bogart. After escaping the prison on Devil's Island off French Guyana, five men join the Free French Forces. Among them is Jean Matrac (Bogart), an embittered journalist rallied to a self-destructive pursuit of patriotism by the suave radical Major Duval (Sydney Greenstreet). The cast also includes Claude Rains, Michèle Morgan and Philip Dorn.
