Michelle Williams stars in this drama co-written and directed by Kelly Reichardt. Lizzie (Williams) is a sculptor preparing for an upcoming show but she is distracted by numerous personal problems. She has a difficult relationship with her landlord and neighbour Jo (Hong Chau), a rival artist, and is concerned about her family. Her father is being taken advantage of by unwanted house guests and her brother has become reclusive and is suffering from delusions. Meanwhile, Lizzie is struggling to care for the pigeon that her cat almost killed. As the day of the show draws closer and she becomes increasingly stressed, she tries to find the time to finish her work. The cast also includes John Magaro, Judd Hirsch and André Benjamin.
