Dev Patel stars in this drama directed by Danny Boyle. Jamal Malik (Patel) is an 18-year-old from the slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian version of 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire'. However, the police believe that a young man with his background cannot possibly have acquired the knowledge needed to be only one correct answer away from winning 20 million rupees and, with only one more question to be asked, Jamal's dream turns into a nightmare.
