Description

Pat Collins co-writes and directs this Irish biographical drama about traditional sean nós folk singer Joe Heaney (Colm Seoighe/Michael O'Confhaola/Macdara O'Fátharta). Born in Carna in County Galway, a remote part of western Ireland, Joe first learns to sing after being taught by his mother and father. Leaving home at the age of 16 to study in Dublin, Joe moves on to London, Glasgow and then across to America. Recording hundreds of songs over the course of his life, Joe established himself as one of the most talented folk singers in Ireland.
