In the 1890s, a woman takes over an ailing baseball outfit, overcoming the inevitable testosterone-fuelled hostility of the players to lead them to success. Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly are a pair of Vaudeville hoofers caught between their duty to the team and the lure of stage stardom.
