Description

Stanley Holloway and Kathleen Harrison star in this British drama set in the aftermath of World War II. When the government reveal their plans to build a Festival Hall on the South Bank, all but the tenants of one corner shop agree to relocate themselves to allow for the construction. Mr and Mrs Lord (Holloway and Harrison) refuse to move even when the police issue an eviction order. As the family barricade themselves into the shop, the bailiffs must try to think of another way to get them out.
