Jo Newton is an ordinary ultra-rich teenager who one day innocently downloads a virus onto her high school's mainframe. Fair enough, but this is no ordinary virus; it's the evil Mangler and it soon takes control of the school's systems and begins killing students left, right, and centre. Things then get even worse when the unhinged headmaster (Lance Henriksen) enters into a symbiotic relationship with the machine and allows its evil to reach a whole new plateau of evilness.
