Following the outbreak of the Second World War, Lily (Beau Gadsdon), Pattie (Eden Hamilton) and Ted (Zac Cudby) are evacuated from their home in Manchester and sent to a rural Yorkshire village where they encounter retired headteacher and former evacuee Bobbie (Agutter).
