Francis Ford Coppola directs this biographical drama about Michigan engineer and automobile entrepreneur Preston Tucker (Jeff Bridges). Following the conclusion of World War II, engineer Tucker forms plans to produce an innovative new car featuring revolutionary safety features including disk brakes and seat belts. Despite purchasing a huge manufacturing plant to begin production, Tucker soon faces opposition from within his own company as well as from other top car manufacturers and the US authorities.
