Laura Gemser plays Emanuelle, an undercover reporter who goes into a women's prison to expose the corruption and violence that the sadistic warden (Lorraine De Selle) imposes on the inmates. She is discovered, however, and is locked in a cell filled with rats as punishment. She eventually manages to escape but not before witnessing the torture and violent sex the prisoners must endure.
